About the Role
The National Esthetics Studio Educator is a key leadership role within Heyday’s Education Team. This individual designs, delivers, and scales training programs for estheticians nationwide—while maintaining an active presence in the treatment room and within our studios.
Blending advanced technical expertise, mentorship, and a passion for innovation, this role ensures service excellence, fosters professional growth, and builds a strong pipeline of future educators.
Based in New York City, this position follows a hybrid schedule that includes time in the treatment room, up to 50% travel, and regular in-studio training support.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience
- Provide facials and advanced skincare services to model Heyday’s service standards.
- Maintain rebooking and client satisfaction goals to lead by example.
- Stay on the books at minimum 2 days per week to maintain consistent client-facing practice.
Training & Education
- Develop and evolve curriculum covering advanced techniques, service protocols, and consultation best practices.
- Facilitate workshops, webinars, and new shop trainings (in-person & virtual).
- Mentor estheticians and studio educators, fostering growth and building a future educator pipeline.
- Serve as a studio educator 1 day/week to stay connected to shop-level training.
National & Studio Presence
- Travel across the U.S. (up to 50%) to deliver training, support openings, and ensure consistency.
- Pilot new treatments and products in studios, refining rollout and execution.
- Create training assets (videos, content, in-studio resources) to support learning at scale.
Operational & Business Impact
- Ensure consistent service delivery, sanitation, and client experience standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert on advanced treatments, modalities, and technology.
- Partner cross-functionally with Shop Managers, Recruiting, and Field Training to align education with business needs.
- Represent Heyday at trade shows, trainings, and industry events.
- Train and inspire estheticians to drive retail performance and elevate client results.
Qualifications
- Licensed Esthetician with at least 5+ years in spa, clinical, or beauty environments.
- Prior experience as an educator, lead esthetician, or field trainer strongly preferred.
- Advanced certifications (chemical peels, dermaplaning, laser, etc.) a plus.
- Instructor certification preferred, not required
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally up to 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently perform repetitive motions of the hands and wrists for extended periods of time.
- Frequently required to switch between standing and seating positions throughout the workday.
- Occasionally required to bend and lift objects as part of daily tasks.
- Frequently able to lift up to 10 lbs, with occasional lifting up to 30 lbs when needed.
- Occasionally navigate stairs on a daily basis as part of job duties (depending on location).
